Evening Classes are in full swing again. Plenty for you to enjoy - NEW Wag-Agility evenings, explore different training interests: Multi Sport evening, and find some management tools for that young hooligan in Juniors.

V-LADs Virtual Classes launched !!!!

I am really excited about our new Virtual Classes. We first ran a clicker course in 1999, when the internet was just toddling along. The resources today are vastly improved and e-learning has come of age - and can offer its own unique format of global learning communities.

We have two V Classes starting:

    Creating the Dream Team

WagMore Week Holiday

I know the weather is not favourable to going out with the dogs. My Saturday walk lasted about an hour, and it took me four hours to get all the dogs mud free and dry before they could come back into the house.  ... and we have another six months of this to go. Bah!

But. For our Holiday week we had 5 days of dry weather, not glorious sunshine, since it was as grey as a badger’s bum every day. The sunny nature of the participants lifted the spirits and we all had a great time.

“I have to write to tell you how much myself and Uisce enjoyed our Wagmore holiday. It was fantastic fun and an amazing eye opener just to see how quick dogs can learn, I just wish there was similar place in Ireland.

Thanks again for all your help I learned lots and hopefully I will see you again soon. “

Christine & Uisce

“Just to thank you and your team for a fabulous week. Mabel and I enjoyed ourselves so much, and I have learned so many great things. I can now 'park' Oscar the Springer and know he is not devouring someone's lunch! Merlin the collie learned 'tidy' last night - he understood the concept in a couple of minutes and put his toys away :) Mabel stood still for grooming today and let me trim her feet without retreating to her bed to hide - wonderful. And I have started getting together a few different articles to use as target training, and we're going to practise loose lead walking. We're going to have so much fun!

Thanks for making it such an enjoyable week, in an environment where both the dogs and those training could learn happily and comfortably.

See you next year!

Kate and Mabel”

This month’s article from Kay:
Practice practicing

Your method of communicating will work on several levels and advancing your skills is not about using complex strategies but have exquisite and consistent communication, and learning the discipline to pay attention to detail. 4 read the article

and an extra article from the Paws n Music Newsletter:

Musical Dressage

This is possibly one of greatest opportunities to showcase natural movement. A well built dog can be visually enjoyed moving around the Cruft’s main ring, but equally a sound cross bred can “walk on sunshine” and demonstrate elegance from the heart. This is more than just good movement, it encompasses a song as well. 4 read the article

Introduction to Clicker Training: Nov 16

We have arranged another date for this very popular workshop. At Wag More we tend to get a little fixated about clicker training. It has become integral to the way we communicate and teach dogs. But to the beginner is can seem quite obscure, or even simplistic.

This workshop will let you have a look as the skills clicker training can give you, how it impacts on your dog and a chance to experience some techniques.
